About this role
Location: Chennai / HQ Function: Cross-divisional reporting & analytics — supports the visibility layer between division heads and leadership --- About the Role Evolve Energy Group operates across manufacturing, EPC/project execution (residential, commercial, solar parks), O&M, and sales — each currently reporting in its own way, on its own cadence, with no single consolidated view. This role exists to fix that: build clean, recurring reporting across every division, and surface issues early enough that they're solved as course-corrections, not fires. This is not a support/admin analyst role. The person in this seat will have standing access to operational data across the business and will be expected to independently flag risks, not just produce reports on request. What You'll Do Build the reporting backbone - Set up recurring data pulls from each division (manufacturing output/quality, EPC site timelines and costs, O&M ticket status, sales pipeline, finance/receivables) — pulling directly from source systems (ERP, CRM, project trackers, accounting software) wherever possible, rather than relying on manually submitted updates - Standardize formats across divisions so numbers are comparable and consolidated into a single dashboard/view - Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cadences as appropriate to each metric Identify red flags, not just report numbers - Work with Unnati to define threshold-based flags per metric (e.g. defect rate above X%, site timeline slippage beyond X days, receivables aging beyond X days) - Proactively flag when a number crosses a threshold or shows a concerning trend — before being asked - Distinguish one-off blips from patterns worth escalating Support decision-making, not just data - Prepare the weekly/monthly rollup used in leadership review - Do first-pass analysis on flagged issues (e.g. "3 of 5 delayed sites share the same contractor" ) so [Your Name] can act on insight, not raw data - Track resolution of flagged issues over time — did the process fix actually work? What This Role Is Not - Not a data-entry or admin role — the expectation is analysis and judgment, not just report compilation - Not a substitute for each division's own operational reporting — this role consolidates and analyzes; divisions remain responsible for the accuracy of their own source data - Not empowered to make operational decisions inside any division — flags and analysis go to Unnati, who decides whether/how to act Who You'll Work With - Direct access to division heads (Manufacturing/Plant Head, EPC/Project Execution, O&M, Sales division heads, Finance) for data access and clarification — standing access, not case-by-case requests - Reports to Unnati; findings roll up into leadership review with CEO/MD Requirements - 0-3 years in business/data analytics, reporting, or FP&A — ideally with exposure to operations-heavy businesses (manufacturing, construction, EPC, infrastructure, or similar) - Strong Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio) a strong plus - Comfortable pulling data from multiple, non-standardized sources and reconciling them - Sharp enough to spot "something's off here" in a dataset, not just report what's asked - Independent — this role has real access and real expectations to flag problems proactively, not wait for instructions each cycle Success Looks Like (first 6 months) - All key divisions reporting into one consolidated view, on a defined cadence, within 60–90 days - Threshold-based flags defined and operational for the top 8–12 metrics across divisions - At least a few real issues caught early via flags rather than discovered after they became visible problems
