Role Description The Data Analyst role at AirBills is a full-time remote position focused on turning complex utility and property data into clear, actionable insights. In this role, the Data Analyst will collect, clean, and validate data from multiple systems and providers, build dashboards and reports that highlight trends in usage, savings, and performance, and support cost optimization by identifying anomalies or opportunities for renegotiation. Day-to-day tasks include designing and maintaining data models, performing statistical analyses, and collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve automation and decision-making. The Data Analyst will also communicate findings to internal stakeholders and help refine metrics and KPIs that guide product improvements and customer value.
Qualifications
- 1–4 years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Analytics.
- Strong Analytical Skills and proven experience in Data Analytics for interpreting complex datasets and deriving practical business insights.
- Solid foundation in Statistics to perform rigorous analysis, validate findings, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in Data Modeling to design, maintain, and optimize data structures that support reporting and automation.
- Clear and effective Communication skills for presenting data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is highly beneficial.
- Background in SaaS, proptech, or utilities-related analytics is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
