Data Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Own the design and development of CXO-level Power BI dashboards for the retail business
• Build advanced DAX measures (time intelligence, calculation groups) and Power Query (M language) transformations for robust data modelling in Power BI
• Design efficient semantic models using star-schema principles, relationships, and row-level security (RLS)
• Write and optimize SQL queries (joins, window functions, CTEs) against Redshift to source data for reports
• Manage Power BI Service administration workspaces, gateways, scheduled refresh, and Pro/Premium capacity considerations
• Own dashboard UX design, ensuring clarity, consistency, and self-service usability across the business
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into dashboard specifications and data models
• Manage and mentor the BI intern and junior data analysts
• Apply strong retail domain knowledge (sales, inventory, footfall, margin, category performance, etc.) to analytics design

Preferred candidate profile

• Advanced Power BI skills DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling (star schema), and row-level security
• Strong SQL skills, with experience on Amazon Redshift, including performance tuning of report queries
• Working knowledge of Power BI Service administration (workspaces, gateways, refresh scheduling)
• Solid grasp of dashboard UX / design principles and data visualization best practices
• Strong business/domain acumen, with prior experience in retail or e-commerce analytics considered a strong plus
• Experience managing stakeholders across business and technical teams
