About the Role We are looking for a motivated Data Migration Engineer with 1+ years of experience in Python, SQL, ETL processes, and API integrations.
The candidate will work on customer data migration projects and contribute to the development of our AI-powered Data Migration Platform, designed to automate data extraction, mapping, transformation, validation, and migration processes.
We are seeking someone with strong technical fundamentals, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn and work with AI-driven technologies.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation.
- Work with CSV, Excel, JSON, databases, and REST APIs.
- Perform data mapping, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation.
- Develop reusable migration scripts and automation components.
- Identify and resolve data mismatches, duplicates, and migration failures.
- Handle API authentication, pagination, rate limits, and error handling.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads to execute customer data migration projects.
- Maintain technical documentation, migration logs, and validation reports.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of an AI-powered Data Migration Platform.
- Explore AI-assisted data mapping, transformation, data cleansing, and validation techniques.
- Learn and adopt emerging AI tools and automation frameworks to improve migration efficiency.
- Python: Scripting, file processing, exception handling, and automation.
- SQL: Joins, queries, data manipulation, and validation.
- Pandas: Data processing, cleaning, and transformation.
- REST APIs: API integration, JSON handling, and authentication.
- ETL: Understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Data Formats: CSV, Excel, JSON, and XML.
- Git: Basic version control knowledge.
- Experience with SaaS application data migration.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud technologies.
- Basic understanding of AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools.
- Interest in intelligent automation and AI-based ETL platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently handle assigned migration tasks.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
- Strong interest in learning and working on AI-powered data migration and automation platforms.
- Adaptability to AI-driven development practices.
- Willingness to work from the Chennai office during the 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST shift.
B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Python development, data migration, ETL, or data engineering.
