Data Analyst

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst Analytics and reporting will be responsible for driving high-quality data analysis, dashboard development, and KPI tracking to support strategic decision-making across LKQ Europe. The role requires strong domain understanding (automotive aftermarket, retail, B2B) combined with expertise in data analysis, reporting, and structured problem-solving. The individual will translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions and dashboards, while ensuring alignment with Market Intelligence objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Domain-Driven Data Analysis

• Apply strong understanding of:
• Automotive aftermarket / Retail / B2B business models
• Category management concepts
• Analyze data in the context of:
• Product categories
• Supplier performance
• Customer segments
• Generate insights aligned to market, customer, and category strategies

2. KPI Definition & Performance Tracking

• Work with stakeholders to define and standardize:
• Financial KPIs (Revenue, Margin, Growth, Contribution)
• Operational KPIs (Availability, Fill Rate, Lead Time, Inventory)
• Build frameworks to track and monitor KPIs across regions and categories
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in KPI definitions and reporting

3. Requirement Gathering & Solution Design

• Follow a structured approach to gather requirements, including:
• Stakeholder discussions
• KPI alignment
• Use-case definition
• Translate requirements into:
• Data models
• Dashboard specifications
• Reporting structures
• Validate outputs with stakeholders to ensure business relevance

4. Dashboard & Reporting Development

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports for business users
• Ensure dashboards are:
• Intuitive and business-friendly
• Insight-driven and actionable
• Automate recurring reporting processes where possible
• Maintain and enhance existing reporting frameworks

5. Data Analysis & Problem Solving

• Perform detailed analysis using:
• Excel
• SQL
• Python
• Identify trends, outliers, and key business drivers
• Support ad-hoc analysis and deep dives for strategic initiatives
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across analyses

6. Data & Technology Enablement

• Work with modern data platforms (preferred: Microsoft Fabric)
• Collaborate with data engineering teams for:
• Data availability
• Data quality improvements

Support scalable analytical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture

Education:

• Bachelors/Master’s in:
• Business, Engineering, Economics, or Data/Analytics-related fields
• 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics / Reporting / Business Analytics roles
• Experience in automotive, retail, or B2B industries preferred

Experience:

• 3-6 years of experience with data related activities from complex international environment.
• Experienced in any BI tool (Power BI/Tableau/ Qliksence/ Qlikview/Cognos)
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proven experience in data analysis, with a strong understanding of data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation.
• Ability to effectively communicate with various multinational and cross-functional teams.
• Self-starter and result oriented, with fluent English (both verbal and written) and advanced Excel knowledge.
• Ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, to initiate solutions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Stay abreast of reporting technologies and how they can be applied in changing LKQ environment.
• Strong knowledge in Machine Learning tools.
