Data Analyst

ANALYTICS AND DATA TRANSPARENCY

• Support consolidation of Global Supply Chain data to bring accuracy and transparency of processes such as end-to-end execution discipline, demand forecasting, warehouse management, among others; across all Lonza sites.
• Actively participate in the implementation of systems, tools and processes related to data management, data modeling and reporting.
• Support completion of relevant Supply Chain analytics to help drive efficiencies and support key Lonza stakeholders.
• Support with maintenance of existing reporting and monitoring tools (dashboards, databases, and KPIs).
• Work with internal teams and/or third parties in developing advanced analytics solutions and identifying use cases, providing key insight into structured and unstructured data.
• Perform analysis by utilizing relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python). Using comprehensive technical knowledge, use custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
• Create efficiencies and remove waste in the reporting process.

PROCESS, SYSTEMS & TOOLS MANAGEMENT

• Support the definition of the digital priorities and identification/evaluation of relevant digital tools as well as the implementation of technologies across all sites (supplier platform, integrated market data, predictive analytics, AI, automation ).
• Scout the market for new digital solutions to increase effectiveness of our operating model.
• Support implementation of related systems & tools.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Global Supply Chain procedures and guidelines (incl. SOPs, policies...)
• Perform system and tools admin activities such as granting access, removing access, gathering user requirements for change requests, etc.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

• Identify and engage with internal stakeholders, within Supply Chain teams, as well as Corporate Functions. Manage communications especially when implementing changes.
• Be able to translate stakeholder business needs to IT/Technical teams and vice versa to meet the desired outcome with fit-for-purposes solutions.
• Help new Supply Chain employees onboard through training and assistance with existing systems. Run department wide training for new processes.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Participate in global projects to either implement or enhance systems and processes across the whole Supply Chain organizations and ensure full accountability in the overall achievement.
• Keep track of assigned tasks in order to meet defined deadlines to meet the short/medium/long term targets.
• Perform data validation and testing phases, before promoting solutions to Production/Live environments
• Be accountable for the overall efficiency/adoption of newly implemented systems/processes.

• Business and financial acumen, IT literate, data analytical skills, SAP (ERP, BW, Lumira), Power BI.
• Technical expertise in analytical programming languages like R & Python and hands on experience on data mining/statistical tools like SAS, XLMiner and MatLab.
• Understanding or experience of current trends in “Big Data”, “Cognitive Computing” and Machine learning algorithms.
• Preferably versed in Procurement and Supply Chain processes.
• Must have analytical skills and an understanding of system databases, data elements, and application software solutions to maximize data gathering and data analysis. Comfortable acquiring data independently from primary/secondary data sources and maintaining own customized set of databases/data systems/MySQL.
