About The Team And The Role

eBay is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Ethics and Compliance team! This position will be based in Bengaluru, India. The role will report to the Ethics & Compliance Testing & Monitoring Lead and will support the Ethics & Compliance function by using data analytics, automation, and AI to improve monitoring, investigations, training, and annual compliance programs.

What You Will Accomplish

• Build and run periodic testing and monitoring frameworks for Ethics & Compliance policies.
• Develop tools and data repositories to consolidate compliance data and support reporting.
• Integrate AI into day-to-day Ethics & Compliance activities and identify practical use cases.
• Provide data analysis support for investigations and whistleblower matters.
• Support compliance training through analytics, reporting, and targeted insights.
• Analyze annual programs such as Ethics Surveys, Conflict of Interest questionnaires, certifications, and risk assessments.
• Develop dashboards, reports, risk indicators, and management insights.
• Work with cross-functional teams to obtain, validate, and analyze relevant data.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• The ideal candidate should have 3+ yrs of experience in data analytics, data visualization, automation, and AI tools.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel for data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to build dashboards and communicate insights clearly.
• Knowledge of data automation and workflow optimisation to improve recurring monitoring and reporting processes.
• Understanding of statistical analysis, trend identification, and anomaly detection to support risk and compliance reviews.
• Prior exposure to compliance, risk, audit, fraud, or investigations workstreams is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively; proficiency in English is required.
• Ability to analyze complex data and present clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory. Additional relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
