Data Analyst

Role & responsibilities

The Reports Team Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, validating, and delivering business reports and dashboards. The role involves working with business users, data engineers, and application teams to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable reporting for operational and management decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.
• Build dashboards using reporting tools such as Power BI, Metabase, or similar BI platforms.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data.
• Validate report accuracy and reconcile data with source systems.
• Monitor report schedules and ensure timely delivery.
• Analyse reporting issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Maintain report documentation, data dictionaries, and process documents.
• Support UAT and production deployments for new reports.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards are followed.
• Automate manual reporting processes wherever possible.
• Communicate report status, issues, and enhancements to stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL (Oracle, ClickHouse, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Metabase, Tableau, or similar.
• Exposure to Python or R is required
• Good understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas).
• Experience in report performance optimization.
• Understanding of data validation and reconciliation techniques.
