D365 PMA

We are seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Consultant with hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations integrated with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Project Management and Accounting (PMA) modules.

The ideal candidate will possess strong functional consulting capabilities across business process analysis, requirement gathering, solution design, project lifecycle management, and Project Operations implementation. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end Dynamics 365 Project Operations solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Consulting & Solution Design

Conduct business requirement gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions.

Perform Fit-Gap Analysis and recommend optimal Dynamics 365 Project Operations solutions.

Prepare BRDs, FRDs, Functional Design Documents, user stories, and process flows.

Lead solution walkthroughs, workshops, and business process validation sessions.

Configure and support Dynamics 365 Project Operations based on customer requirements.

Project Operations Implementation

Implement and support end-to-end Project Operations processes including:

Lead Management

Opportunity Management

Quotation Management

Project Contracts

Project Creation & Setup

Resource Allocation & Scheduling

Time Entry & Expense Management

Approvals Workflow

Project Invoicing & Billing

Revenue Recognition

Configure project templates, WBS, project scheduling, resource assignments, and project financial controls.

Support project planning, execution, and project lifecycle management.

Finance & Operations (F&O) Integration

Work on Dynamics 365 Project Operations and F&O PMA integration scenarios.

Configure and support Dual Write synchronization between CE and F&O environments.

Validate synchronization of:

Customers

Actuals

Invoices

Collaborate with technical teams for custom integrations leveraging Power Automate and APIs.

Data Migration & Integration

Participate in data migration strategy, mapping, validation, and cutover activities.

Support data import/export activities using Dataverse and F&O data entities.

Coordinate with integration teams for third-party system integrations.

Testing & Go-Live Support

Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, and UAT documentation.

Conduct SIT, UAT, and regression testing activities.

Support deployment planning, cutover execution, hypercare, and post-go-live support.

Troubleshooting & Support

Investigate and resolve Project Operations and Dual Write integration issues.

Analyze synchronization errors, staging records, mapping issues, and integration failures.

Work with technical teams to resolve data consistency and transaction synchronization issues.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate).

Exposure to Project Service Automation (PSA) migration to Project Operations.

Understanding of customer, vendor, resource, and project master data management.

Experience in subscription billing and subcontracting scenarios.

Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Agile project delivery methodology.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications preferred (MB-300 / MB-330 / MB-700 / Project Operations related certifications).

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, or related discipline.

8+ years of Functional Consulting experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Dynamics 365 Project Operations implementations.

Experience in at least one end-to-end implementation and post-go-live support project involving Project Operations and F&O integration.
