Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cypress Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing, manual testing, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust test automation frameworks while ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
• Execute and support frontend and backend testing activities.
• Validate REST APIs using Cypress and/or Postman.
• Perform database validation and data verification using SQL queries.
• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for issue resolution.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience in Cypress Automation Testing.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience in REST API testing using Cypress or Postman.
• Strong knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control systems.
• Good understanding of SQL for database validation and testing.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • Azure DevOps
  • GitHub Actions
  • GitLab CI/CD
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in both Frontend and Backend Manual Testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Playwright Automation Testing.
• Experience working in the Retail Domain.
• Exposure to test framework design and automation best practices.
