Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cyber Security Engineer role based in Gurugram. The Cyber Security Engineer will design, implement, and manage security controls across networks, applications, cloud environments, and endpoints to protect client infrastructures. Responsibilities include monitoring security events, analyzing alerts, and responding to incidents in coordination with SOC teams and client stakeholders. The role includes performing vulnerability assessments, supporting penetration testing efforts, and recommending remediation plans to reduce risk. The engineer will also assist in security architecture design, documentation, compliance alignment, and continuous improvement of security processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security principles, including risk management, security frameworks, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in Network Security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure network design, and segmentation.
- Practical knowledge of Application Security, including secure coding concepts, web application vulnerabilities, and remediation approaches.
- Experience performing Vulnerability Assessment, security testing, and supporting remediation activities across infrastructure and applications.
- Familiarity with SOC operations, SIEM platforms, incident detection and response, and log analysis.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), Zero Trust architecture, and endpoint security solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
