Cyber Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• internal environment (network segmentation, access controls, identity/endpoint security) as it relates to data protection and recovery infrastructure
• Design and execute safe room / clean room recovery plans isolated recovery environments used to validate that backups and snapshots can be restored safely without reintroducing compromise
• Run tabletop and live recovery exercises simulating ransomware and data-destruction scenarios, and document what worked and what didn't
• Define and test incident response playbooks and recovery runbooks in coordination with the Data Protection Specialist and the Compete/data-protection workstreams
• Validate that snapshot/backup restore workflows (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, SafeMode) can be executed safely within an isolated recovery environment
• Assess access controls and security posture of environments used across the various contractor engagements (documentation, plugin development, lab environments) in this packet
• Produce outbound-ready content describing cyber resilience and recovery approach where appropriate, in coordination with product marketing
