Key Responsibilities

• Threat Monitoring & Detection: Continuously monitor systems, networks, and cloud environments for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
• Incident Response: Lead root-cause analysis, triage, and rapid containment/remediation for security incidents and operational threats.
• Security Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain security tools, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions, and identity management systems.
• Vulnerability & Patch Management: Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests, working closely with engineering teams to remediate identified risks.
• Security Architecture & Best Practices: Enforce security policies, compliance standards, access control, and best practices across software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure pipelines.
• Automation: Develop automation scripts to streamline threat detection, monitoring, and compliance workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in information security, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), or SOC environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, encryption algorithms, identity & access management (IAM), and endpoint protection.
• Security Tools: Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, ELK), vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), and script development (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, or equivalent credentials.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
