About this role
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure cloud solutions that protect critical systems while enabling innovation across Blackbaud s platforms
- Strengthen cloud security posture by building and maintaining infrastructure using modern security posture management tooling
- Develop secure integrations and application interfaces that support scalable, reliable architectures across cloud environments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and data protection teams to elevate endpoint security and improve user experience
- Monitor systems, analyze logs, and investigate incidents to continuously improve threat detection and response capabilities
- Mentor and support fellow engineers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and shared success
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or security engineering, including 4+ years with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, routing, and private connectivity
- Understanding of identity and access management, zero trust principles, and secure cloud design patterns
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, along with CI/CD automation, monitoring, and secrets management tools
