About this role
Important before applying This is a full-time, exclusive position. It is not suitable for candidates who are looking for parallel employment, side work, freelance work, after-hours work, or an additional job alongside another role. The working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 8:00-17:00 Israel time. During these hours, you are expected to be fully available, active, responsive, and dedicated only to ARMOR360. If you are currently employed, please apply only if you are genuinely willing and able to leave your current role and join ARMOR360 as your primary full-time position.
Company Description Armor360 is a global cybersecurity company protecting law firms, financial institutions, and technology-driven businesses. We deliver 24/7 SOC-as-a-Service, Incident Response, and Microsoft 365 hardening for clients who rely on us for real-time protection, compliance, and business continuity. We operate as a small, high-performance team where every engineer plays a critical role in protecting production environments.
Role Description We’re looking for a Tier 2 Cyber & Network Support Engineer - someone with strong networking fundamentals, hands-on experience with Juniper switches and FortiGate firewalls, and the ability to operate in a real-world production environment. This is not a passive support role. You will be expected to take ownership of issues end-to-end, understand the business impact behind technical problems, and act accordingly. You are expected to understand not only the technical issue, but also its impact on business operations, data protection and compliance. This role requires active availability during working hours. It is not a passive monitoring role and cannot be performed alongside another job.
Key Responsibilities
- First-line troubleshooting of VLANs, Trunk/Access ports, STP-related issues, and switch port behavior
- Assist with FortiGate firewall tasks (interfaces, basic policies, NAT, traffic monitoring)
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing)
- Support multi-site network topologies, segmentation, and small-scale routing scenarios
- Handle Tier 2 alerts from SOC/XDR platforms
- Support Microsoft 365 user management, identity, and access issues
- Assist with email security and endpoint protection tasks
- Document every action clearly and professionally
- Provide first-line support to international customers
- Escalate to Tier 3 as required
- Support onboarding of new customers (user provisioning, basic hardening steps)
Critical Expectations
- Full ownership of tasks from start to finish - no follow-ups required
- Strong sense of responsibility for production environments
- Ability to understand business impact, not just technical symptoms
- Reliable availability and commitment to working hours
- Proactive communication - no last-minute updates or surprises
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure
- Awareness of privacy and data protection considerations when handling systems and incidents
- Full-time exclusive commitment - no parallel employment, side work, freelance work, or another active role during ARMOR360 working hours.
What Success Looks Like
- Tasks are completed without reminders
- Issues are identified and handled proactively
- Clear communication at all times - especially under pressure
- Strong ownership of customer environments
- No surprises
Qualifications You must have practical experience - not theoretical, with:
- VLAN configuration & troubleshooting
- Trunk vs. Access port configuration
- STP/RSTP basics and identifying loops
- DHCP / DNS / VPN fundamentals
- Working with managed switches (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, HP, etc.)
- Basic identity/security configuration
- Experience with EDR/XDR tools (advantage)
- Basic Firewall policy understanding
- Creating/modifying simple rules
- Configuring interfaces
- Monitoring traffic logs
- Basic NAT understanding
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and clean documentation habits
- Discipline, ownership, and willingness to learn
- Excellent English (written and spoken)
- Ability to follow procedures and escalate correctly
- Ability to understand the broader context of an issue, not only the symptom, and willingness to think one step ahead
- Curiosity and genuine drive to grow into more advanced networking and cybersecurity responsibilities
- Ability to take initiative and think one step ahead
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years in Tier 1 IT, NOC, MSP, or SOC roles
- Certifications: Network+, CCNA, JNCIA, Fortinet NSE
- Experience supporting law firms or regulated environments
