Summary: As a Test Lead, you will act as the key interface across testing, validation, integration, and requirements management activities for automotive embedded systems and infotainment platforms. Your typical day will involve leading validation activities, coordinating with global teams, developing test strategies, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring software quality throughout the product lifecycle. You will be responsible for defining and implementing automated test frameworks, analyzing validation results, supporting defect resolution, and improving testing processes. You will collaborate closely with development teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality automotive software solutions while adhering to ASPICE, cybersecurity, and industry quality standards. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead end-to-end verification and validation activities for automotive embedded systems, ECUs, infotainment platforms, and connected vehicle solutions.
2. Define and execute test strategies, validation plans, test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
3. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable validation assets.
4. Build and execute functional, integration, regression, system, performance, and acceptance test suites.
5. Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python, Java, Kotlin, C#, CAPL, or equivalent technologies.
6. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
7. Ensure complete requirements traceability from system requirements through validation closure.
8. Support development and maintenance of HIL, SIL, and test bench environments.
9. Execute validation activities on target hardware and software platforms.
10. Perform debugging and fault analysis using CANoe, Vector tools, protocol trace analysis, and hardware debugging techniques.
11. Integrate automated validation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
12. Monitor and report validation KPIs, test coverage, defect metrics, and release readiness status.
13. Support cybersecurity verification activities aligned to ISO 21434 requirements.
14. Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes and quality standards.
15. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test automation, test execution efficiency, and validation processes.
16. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to validation and automation teams.
17. Coordinate validation activities with customer teams, suppliers, and global engineering organizations.
18. Participate in architecture reviews, quality audits, release reviews, and project governance activities.

Professional & Technical Skills:

1. Overall 7 to 9 years of experience in Software Verification & Validation, with at least 5 years in the Automotive domain.
2. Strong experience in Automotive ECU, Embedded Systems, Infotainment, or Connected Vehicle validation.
3. Hands-on experience with CANoe, CAPL, Vector toolchain, and automotive network testing.
4. Practical experience with Python, C#, Java, or Kotlin programming languages.
5. Experience with Atlassian toolchain including Jira and Confluence.
6. Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS.
7. Strong knowledge of ECU hardware, HIL systems, SIL environments, and test bench setup.
8. Good understanding of CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and SOME/IP communication protocols.
9. Strong knowledge of system-level and subsystem-level validation methodologies.
10. Experience with Automotive Infotainment and Android Automotive OS (AAOS) validation environments.
11. Hands-on experience in test automation frameworks including: o JUnit o Espresso o Appium o Robolectric o Pytest o Android Instrumentation Testing
12. Experience in API, UI, Functional, Integration, System, and Performance Testing.
13. Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
14. Knowledge of Git-based source code and configuration management.
15. Understanding of defect management, change management, and release management processes.
16. Experience in test coverage analysis, validation reporting, and quality dashboards such as Allure and TestRail.
17. Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
18. Knowledge of MISRA guidelines, FOSS compliance, and software quality practices.
19. Good understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) assessment requirements.
20. Working knowledge of ISO 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity requirements.
21. Functional Safety awareness (ISO 26262) is desirable.
22. Experience working in Agile, Scrum, and SAFe development environments.
23. Strong mentoring, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Additional Information: The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in Embedded Product Verification & Validation. Experience in Automotive Infotainment, ECU Validation, HIL/SIL Testing, Test Automation, and AAOS Validation is highly preferred. Strong hands-on experience with CANoe, CAPL, Python, Jira, DOORS, Jenkins, Git, and Automotive Test Automation Frameworks is mandatory. Experience working in ASPICE-compliant Automotive Programs is highly desirable. Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related disciplines preferred. Strong collaboration, attention to detail, ownership mindset, and continuous improvement orientation are essential. This position is based at our Bengaluru office. 15 years full-time education is mandatory.
