Summary: As an Azure Platform Engineer, a typical day involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based data platform services such as backup & restore, data protection, on-premises to cloud connectivity, and monitoring solutions. The role focuses on ensuring a stable and scalable platform environment for users while automating operational processes to improve usability, efficiency, and system performance. Collaboration with teams and continuous enhancement of platform capabilities are key to delivering reliable cloud infrastructure aligned with business needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate with teams to design and manage Azure platform services.
• Responsible for key technical decisions related to platform stability and scalability.
• Engage with multiple teams to support data platform services, cloud integrations, and monitoring solutions.
• Develop and maintain services such as backup & restore, data protection, and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Drive automation and optimization of operational processes to improve system efficiency and user experience.
• Contribute to improving platform accessibility for users with limited technical knowledge.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience in Azure infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Networking).
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep).
• Knowledge of data platform architecture and cloud/data engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services including: Azure Storage (Blob / Data Lake Storage), Azure Data Factory Azure Backup, Azure Resource Manager, Azure App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Databricks, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Entra ID and RBAC, Virtual Networks, NSGs, private endpoints, and service endpoints
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and integration services including on-premises connectivity and Self-Hosted Integration Runtime.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full-time education is required.
