Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and decontaminate used surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Perform cleaning using manual and automated methods as per standard operating procedures.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage.
• Assemble and pack instrument sets according to established guidelines.
• Operate sterilization equipment such as steam autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, and plasma sterilizers.
• Monitor and document sterilization parameters and maintain sterilization records.
• Ensure proper storage and distribution of sterile supplies to OT, wards, ICUs, and other departments.
