Role & responsibilities
- Proficiency in Creo Software
- Hands-on experience in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and concept design.
- Ability to create detailed 2D drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) knowledge.
- Tool & Fixture Design Expertise
- Design of assembly tools, tackles, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing methods like machining, welding, hardening, and heat treatment.
- Material Selection
- Ability to select appropriate materials for tools, fixtures, and tackles based on strength, durability, and cost.
- Concept Development & Modeling
- Capability to develop 3D concepts for fixtures and convert them into manufacturable designs.
- Knowledge of design validation and optimization techniques.
- GD&T and Standards Compliance
- Familiarity with for GD&T.
- Understanding of Model-Based Definition (MBD) practices.
Additional Technical Skills
- Tolerance Analysis and stack-up calculations.
- Error-proofing techniques (Poka-Yoke) and FMEA awareness.
- Reverse Engineering and adaptation of existing designs.
