Credit Risk Strategy Professional

Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Credit Risk Strategy team.

The Risk Strategy Specialist will be responsible for developing data-driven strategies and policies to enhance risk management, evaluate framework effectiveness, manage subject specific dashboards and mentor team members.

This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data tools, and a deep understanding of consumer banking products and credit risk.

Responsibilities:

- Drive tactical and strategic risk analytics for US bank Risk teams.

- Develop risk policies for POS lending, BNPL, and credit cards.

- Develop and implement comprehensive credit risk strategies to manage and mitigate risk across various credit products.

- Design A/B testing frameworks using DOE to enhance risk management.

- Lead the development of new rules and strategy by leveraging the existing data, managing the campaigns/monthly/ad-hoc dashboards, analyzing the trends and performing ad-hoc analysis.

- Perform policy analytics to ensure accurate customer targeting.

- Recommend improvements to business strategies and risk policies across acquisition and collections.

- Evaluate policy effectiveness, manage dashboards, and analyze performance metrics.

- Collaborate with cross-functional Risk Management teams.

- Summarize and report insights to senior leadership.

- Maintain strong credit risk knowledge.

- Manage projects with accuracy and timely delivery.

- Mentor and develop team members.

Qualifications:

- Educational Background: A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (IIT/NIT preferred).

- Industry Experience: 8+ years of proven experience in credit risk and analytics role within banking, fintech, or financial services.

- Excellent team management and client-facing skills.

- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAS/Python and SQL.

- Hands-on experience with Tableau/ Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Past experience in statistical analysis and knowledge of banking products.

- Excellent understanding of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and types (technical/non-technical).

- Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
