Credit Risk Analyst

Office Location - Nariman Point, Mumbai

Responsible for Review and Recommendation of Credit Proposals for large corporate clients in adherence to the organization's policy. Identifying and mitigating risk by taking decision on the exposure levels, collateral and guarantees for all regular banking and treasury products. It involves conducting risk analysis by scrutinizing relevant loan documents, client meet, analysing financials and ensuring compliance as per bank's credit policies.

• Review of Credit Appraisal Memoranda (CAM) originating from the Business Teams for new and existing loans:
• to ensure the accuracy of all financial details,
• compliance with the Bank's Policies & Procedures and local regulatory requirement,
• Identification of Risk and Mitigation
• highlight information gaps, key risk issues not adequately addressed.
• Prepare concise Risk Cover Sheet based on the CAM articulating recommendations for sanction / renewal of the proposed limits.
• Track financial performance updates, earnings events, liquidity and covenant compliance and other developments impacting the bank's portfolio
• Reviewing Early Warning Signals and escalation of adverse news event in company/industry.
• Ensure meticulous compliance with Bank's Internal credit policy as well as RBI guidelines for the Bank's portfolio
• Periodic internal and External Reporting to Head Office and RBI.
• Monthly Portfolio Review and Presentation to Management.
• Preparing & reviewing Credit policy, Collateral Management policy & other policies related to Credit Risk, in line with RBI guidelines.
• Assisting RBI/HO/statutory Auditors in smooth conduct of audit.
• Interact regularly with other officers of the branch to be well informed of the activities in the account.
• Participate in team and department-level projects to improve processes, implement new solutions and drive efficiencies.

Essential Qualifications/Experience Required

• Qualified CA / MBA Finance with 7-9 years of professional experience of which at least 3-4 years must be in a Bank's Credit Risk Department. During those 3-4 years, the candidate should have reviewed the Risk Assessment of mid-to-Large Corporates.
