Title: Credit Manager Personal Loan (Underwriting)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Underwrite Personal Loan applications as per credit policy and underwriting guidelines.
• Assess applicant eligibility through income, banking, and credit bureau analysis.
• Make credit decisions within defined TAT while maintaining portfolio quality.
• Review application documents, bureau reports, verification reports, and fraud checks.
• Evaluate repayment capacity, FOIR, and existing liabilities before approval.
• Process policy exceptions with required approvals where justified.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior underwriters and coordinate with verification agencies.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Personal Loan underwriting and credit assessment.
• Understanding of credit policies, risk evaluation, FOIR, and repayment capacity analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS).
• Good knowledge of CIBIL and other credit bureau reports.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and risk assessment skills.
