Job Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the credit appraisal and underwriting process for secured loan products, including property-backed loans, vehicle loans, and other asset-backed financing.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applicants, assessing creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and collateral valuation.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and established lending limits.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures for risk mitigation.
- Oversee the timely and effective recovery of overdue accounts, working closely with collection teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring excellent service and addressing their credit-related inquiries.
- Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape within the secured lending sector.
- Train and mentor junior credit officers, fostering a high-performing team.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in credit management, with a significant focus on secured lending.
- Proven expertise in credit appraisal, underwriting, and risk assessment for various secured loan products.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis techniques, and legal aspects of secured lending.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant credit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and lending practices in LB Nagar/Hyderabad.
