About this role
Manage and oversee all credit-related activities for the Khammam branch, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk management guidelines.

- Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Approve or reject credit applications within delegated authority limits, providing clear justifications for decisions.
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and initiate appropriate collection actions.
- Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with customers when necessary.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize credit risk and bad debt.
- Prepare regular reports on credit portfolio performance, including credit exposures, collections, and provisions.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to facilitate smooth credit processes.
- Ensure adherence to all internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor junior credit staff, if applicable.
- Conduct periodic reviews of credit policies and recommend improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Proven track record of effective credit risk assessment and management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound credit decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in credit analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Thorough understanding of relevant credit regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Residency or strong familiarity with the Khammam region is a plus.
