Credit Analyst- Working Capital

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

1. Credit Appraisal & Assessment

• Analyse financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, GST, bank statements) of MSME/SME/Corporate customers
• Assess working capital requirements using turnover method / cash flow / MPBF
• Evaluate working capital proposals for CC, OD, LC/BG, and short-term facilities
• Perform ratio analysis and identify strengths, risks, and deviations

2. Due Diligence

• Conduct field-level due diligence including:
• Business visits and stock verification
• Promoter and management assessment
• Check bureau reports, banking conduct, and repayment behaviour
• Validate end-use of funds and working capital cycle

3. Credit Decisioning

• Prepare appraisal notes (CAM/Credit Memo) with clear recommendations
• Sanction proposals within delegated authority OR recommend to higher authority
• Structure limits, margins, security, pricing, and covenants

4. Business Coordination

• Work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs)
• Provide inputs to structure deals without compromising risk
• Ensure quick TAT for proposal processing

5. Documentation & Disbursement

• Ensure all sanction terms and conditions are complied with
• Verify legal, technical, and valuation reports
• Ensure proper documentation before disbursement

6. Portfolio Monitoring

• Monitor existing accounts for:
• Limit utilization
• Irregularity / overdue tracking
• Stock and book debt statements
• Identify Early Warning Signals (EWS)
• Support renewal/annual review of limits

7. Risk & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and RBI regulations
• Maintain audit-ready files and documentation
• Assist in internal / external audits

8. Collections & Stress Management

• Coordinate with collections team for overdue accounts
• Assist in resolution/regularization of stressed accounts
• Recommend restructuring or exit strategies where needed
