Role Summary

Looking for an experienced Credit Analyst Project Finance to assess project funding proposals, evaluate creditworthiness, conduct financial analysis, and identify potential credit risks. The role involves evaluating project feasibility, assessing repayment capacity, and supporting lending decisions through detailed financial appraisal and due diligence.

Key Responsibilities

* Credit Appraisal: Analyse project finance proposals across sectors, assessing project viability, creditworthiness, and funding requirements.

* Financial Analysis: Review financial statements, cash flow projections, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios.

* Project Evaluation: Assess project cost, means of finance, implementation schedules, revenue assumptions, and debt servicing capacity.

* Financial Modelling: Prepare and review financial models, conduct sensitivity analysis, and evaluate DSCR, IRR, NPV, and other relevant financial parameters.

* Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate financial, commercial, operational, execution, and sector-specific risks associated with project financing.

* Due Diligence: Review project reports, feasibility studies, concession agreements, contracts, security documentation, and other relevant documents.

* Credit Structuring: Recommend suitable loan structures, repayment schedules, collateral requirements, covenants, and risk mitigants.

* Credit Note Preparation: Prepare detailed credit appraisal notes and recommendations for internal credit committees and sanctioning authorities.

* Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with relationship managers, legal teams, technical consultants, and other internal stakeholders during the appraisal and sanction process.

* Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor project progress, financial performance, repayment capacity, and compliance with sanctioned terms and conditions

Required Qualifications & Experience

* Education: CA Qualified or MBA in Finance.

* Experience: Relevant experience in project finance credit appraisal, financial analysis, and corporate lending.

* Strong understanding of project finance structures, debt servicing, and financial modelling.

* Proficiency in analysing cash flow projections, DSCR, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity scenarios.

* Knowledge of credit risk assessment, loan structuring, and banking regulations.

* Strong analytical, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

* Candidates with experience in project finance underwriting or credit appraisal within banks, financial institutions, or NBFCs.

* Exposure to infrastructure, power, renewable energy, roads, real estate, manufacturing, or other capital-intensive sectors.

* Experience in preparing credit appraisal notes and evaluating medium- to large-ticket project funding proposals.
