Creative Director

Whizz HR is hiring for Creative Director/Lead Designer - Art in Bangalore :

Role

• Lead visual design and art direction across branding, campaigns, and content, actively contributing to new pitch wins and key account growth.
• Create new brands that align with brand strategy, and stand out in its market and with the audience. This includes creating and overseeing logos, typography, colour systems, templates, guidelines and social assets
• Develop campaign KVs and visual systems that work across formats and platforms
• Translate communication strategy into compelling visual concepts and well-designed content
• Pitching and presenting creative concepts and design rationale to internal teams and clients
• Work across a spectrum of clients in India and abroad, delivering creativity that engages audiences across cultural contexts
• Review, guide and elevate design work across the team
• Mentor designers and contribute to building a strong design culture and process
• Collaborate closely with Strategy, Copy, Production, Post Production and Account Management teams from brief to pitch, to creative execution and delivery
• Balance creative ambition with client and their audience contexts, timelines and budgets

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is creatively exceptional, curious and conceptually strong, with the ability to move seamlessly between big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in design, preferably in creative agencies or design studios
• Proven experience in designing new brands and visual identities from scratch
• Proven experience designing for campaigns
• Proven experience designing for videos (including explainer videos and videos with motion graphics)
• Expert understanding of visual storytelling, typography, composition, colour and design systems
• Strong awareness of current global design trends
• Strong presentation, communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to give clear, constructive feedback and mentor designers
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment where sometimes clients expect over-the-weekend delivery (comp-offs are provided for Sundays and public holidays)

Your Portfolio Should Demonstrate

• New brand creation and identity development, from strategy through to a distinctive, scalable visual identity
• Campaign design, including KVs and adaptation across brand touchpoints
• Video, motion and content design
• Strong typography, composition and layouts
• Exposure to a diverse range of industries, audiences and visual styles

Tools

Essential

• Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative and design workflows and cloud-based creative collaboration

Preferred

• Figma
• After Effects / understanding of motion design
• Adobe Firefly
