Role Overview

Chandigarh University is looking for dynamic, confident, and target-oriented Admission Counselors / Senior Admission Counselors to join its admissions team. The role involves handling prospective student and parent inquiries, providing course-related guidance, managing leads, and converting inquiries into confirmed admissions.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and counselling skills, a persuasive approach, and the ability to work in a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Telecalling & Lead Management

• Make a minimum of 100 outbound calls daily to prospective students and parents from assigned databases.
• Handle inbound inquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, and email.
• Conduct cold calling, follow up with prospective students, and nurture leads throughout the admission cycle.
• Maintain accurate lead records, call details, follow-ups, and admission status in the CRM system.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics, including calls, conversions, and enrollments.
• Achieve assigned admission and enrollment targets.

2. Admission Counselling

• Counsel students and parents regarding academic programs, eligibility criteria, admission procedures, fee structures, scholarships, and deadlines.
• Understand student profiles and recommend suitable courses based on their academic background and career aspirations.
• Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents through effective communication and timely follow-ups.
• Guide applicants throughout the admission process, from initial inquiry to final enrollment.
• Address queries, handle objections, and use effective counselling and persuasion techniques to improve conversion rates.

3. CRM & Reporting

• Update and manage prospective student data in the CRM system.
• Maintain a structured follow-up schedule to minimize lead drop-offs.
• Prepare regular reports on calling activity, lead status, conversion rates, and admission performance.
• Coordinate with the admissions team to ensure a smooth and efficient admission process.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 13 years of experience in admission counselling, telecalling, educational sales, or lead conversion.
• Experience in the Education or EdTech sector will be preferred.
• Fresh graduates with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in admissions counselling may also be considered, depending on role requirements.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
