Cost Manager

Role Summary

We are currently looking for a Cost Manager to be part of the Cost Consultancy team working on a large project both pre and post-contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for showing high levels of technical capability, sound commercial knowledge and a good understanding of the key drivers of cost and value; capturing and sharing knowledge and driving innovation in service.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to cost and commercial leadership in the delivery of pre and post-contract services.
• Manage project standalone, dealing with the client and taking ownership for delivery.
• Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of small / medium sized projects or significant components of larger Cost Management assignments.
• Manage team resources, ensuring coverage for projects and profitability.
• Use CostX, Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes to an advanced level
• Work pre contract including; reviewing detailed measurements, sections of BOQs, handle tender query responses, manage the PQQ process with support and input into value engineering at each design stage.
• Be a strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role as part of personal development planning.

Desired skills and experience

• 4 to 7 years of experience of managing operations and delivering large projects as cost manager.
• Proven track record of working in the cost management field.
• Experience in hospitality / high end residential / mixed use projects would be an advantage.
• Degree in related subject (BE / B.Tech - Civil or equivalent)
• MRICS would be advantageous.
