Cost Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and develop accurate product costing for new and existing products.
• Prepare cost estimates, RFQ responses, and commercial quotations for customers.
• Calculate machine hour rates, labor absorption rates, and overhead allocations to support pricing decisions.
• Conduct cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments for products and processes.
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure compliance with standard costing principles and accounting requirements.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, engineering, and sales teams to gather cost inputs and optimize product costs.
• Coordinate with overseas teams on quotations, costing assumptions, and commercial discussions.
• Support management with cost reports, budgeting inputs, and strategic decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: CMA Intermediate / CMA Final (preferred)
• Experience: 2-3 years in manufacturing costing, cost accounting, or pricing functions
• Strong understanding of product costing, BOM analysis, inventory valuation, machine hour rate calculation, and overhead allocation
• Good analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes and interact with cross-functional and international teams
• Mature, detail-oriented, and capable of handling independent assignments
