Corporate Security Head

Role & responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the corporate security strategy, policies, standards and SOPs applicable across all TRSL plants and operational locations.
• Oversee security operations across manufacturing facilities, including passenger rolling stock, foundry and other business units.
• Establish a common security governance framework covering access control, perimeter protection, CCTV surveillance, visitor management and material movement.
• Conduct periodic security risk assessments, vulnerability studies and security audits across all locations.
• Review plant-level security performance, identify gaps and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead the selection, deployment, evaluation and performance monitoring of security agencies and service providers.
• Define security KPIs, reporting formats, escalation matrices and compliance-monitoring mechanisms for all plants.
• Develop corporate-level protocols for emergency response, crisis management, threat intelligence, business continuity and incident escalation.
• Investigate major security incidents and coordinate with plant leadership, HR, Administration, Legal and other relevant functions.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior police officials, district administration, intelligence agencies and other government authorities.
• Assess emerging security risks, including theft, sabotage, unauthorized access, civil disturbances and threats to critical industrial assets.
• Drive technology-enabled security improvements, including integrated CCTV systems, access control, digital visitor management and centralized monitoring, where appropriate.
• Review security manpower deployment, agency contracts, operating costs and resource utilization across locations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
• Present periodic security reviews, risk reports, audit findings and improvement plans to senior management.
• Build the capabilities of plant security teams through training, mock drills, knowledge sharing and standardized operating practices.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Graduate in any discipline; postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in Security Management, Risk Management or related areas will be preferred.
• Extensive experience in corporate security, industrial security or multi-location security operations in manufacturing, heavy engineering, infrastructure, railway or similar industries.
• Demonstrated experience in leading security operations across multiple plants, factories or geographically dispersed industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of physical security systems, security audits, risk assessments, crisis management and incident investigation.
• Proven ability to develop and implement corporate security policies and monitor their execution at plant level.
• Experience in managing security budgets, outsourced security agencies, manpower deployment and security technology projects.
• Established capability in stakeholder management, senior-level reporting and liaison with law enforcement and government authorities.
• Defence, paramilitary or senior industrial security experience will be an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across TRSL plants and operational locations.
