Copywriter

About the Role

We're looking for a copywriter who has hands-on experience specialising in copy for paid Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram). Your primary responsibility will be to write and test copy for our health and term insurance campaigns to generate qualified leads. This includes hooks, primary text, headlines, calls to action, and short-form video scripts. This is a performance copywriting role, not a generalist content-writing role.

You should be able to explain insurance clearly without using fear, pressure, or misleading claims. We value accurate, empathetic messaging, along with the ability to test variations and use campaign results to improve the copy.

Who You Are

Meta Ads Copy experience: You have personally written copy for paid Meta campaigns and

can show examples of your work. This is a core requirement, not an added advantage.

Performance-minded: You can explain what you tested, the campaign objective, and what

you learned from the results.

Clear and precise: You can make complex insurance topics easy for a consumer audience to

understand.

Collaborative: You can work closely with performance marketers and designers to turn

campaign briefs into effective ads.

What You'll Do

Write Meta Ads copy: Develop hooks, primary text, headlines, calls to action, and short-form

video scripts for health and term insurance campaigns.

Adapt the message: Create copy variations for different audiences, needs, levels of

awareness, offers, and creative formats.

Support campaign execution: Work with performance marketers and designers to brief

creatives, launch copy tests, and develop the next set of variations.

Use performance data: Review results with the marketing team and use relevant metrics,

such as click-through rate, conversion rate, cost per lead, and lead quality, to inform the next

iteration.

Keep messaging accurate: Make insurance easy to understand and ensure ads are clear,

credible, and consistent with Ditto's tone.

Test different angles: Develop and test new hooks, value propositions, objections, and calls

to action rather than relying on one version of an ad.

Work across teams: Collaborate with performance marketers, designers, and subject-matter

experts to make sure the copy is useful and accurate.

Write supporting content when needed: This may include Google Ads, landing pages and

webinar ad copies, but paid Meta Ads copy will be the primary focus of the role.

What We're Looking For:

• Over 1 year of copywriting experience, including substantial, hands-on experience writing

copy for paid Meta (Facebook and Instagram) campaigns.

• Meta Ads copy has been a core part of your work, not just an occasional task. You can share

examples of ads you personally wrote.

• Experience writing for lead-generation or other performance campaigns, and the ability to

explain how you used results to refine copy.

• A portfolio that demonstrates clear, concise writing and the ability to explain complex topics to a consumer audience.
