Position: Copyeditor & Proofreader

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Copyeditor & Proofreader to review and refine manuscripts and published content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, clarity, and adherence to publishing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Copyedit manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and readability.
• Proofread final content to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, style, formatting, and references.
• Follow journal, publisher, and project-specific style guidelines.
• Review tables, figures, headings, citations, and references for accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate with typesetting and production teams to resolve content-related queries.
• Ensure high-quality, error-free content within project timelines.
• Handle multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in English, Journalism, Literature, Life Sciences, or a relevant field.
• Strong command of written English and excellent grammar skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
• Familiarity with MS Word and Track Changes.
• Knowledge of publishing workflows and style guides is an advantage.
• Prior experience in academic, STM, medical, or scholarly publishing is preferred.
• Freshers with strong English and editing skills may also apply.
