Copy Editor (Language Editors)

Role & responsibilities:

• Review and edit content for accuracy, consistency, grammar, style, and adherence to guidelines
• Client Communication - point of contact for clients; manage communication, feedback, and delivery.
• Mentoring - Train new team members, freelancers on editing standards, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure quality control, fact-checking, and adherence to medical/scientific standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Copy-edit efficiently while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• 4+ years of experience in editing, preferably in medical or scientific publishing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Impeccable grammatical knowledge and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Leadership skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Proficiency in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office suite
