Job Description

We are currently hiring 3 Camp Cooks for a large-scale construction project's staff accommodation in the Maldives.

Note:

• Only Tamil-speaking candidates will be shortlisted for this specific requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bulk Cooking: Independently prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 50100+ construction workers and staff.
• Cuisine Diversity: Cook delicious and authentic Indian, Nepali, and Bangladeshi meals as per the camp menu.
• Menu & Inventory Planning: Plan balanced daily menus and manage food raw material quantities carefully to eliminate food wastage.
• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain strict standards of kitchen cleanliness, sanitization, and safe food-handling practices.
• Kitchen Upkeep: Responsible for the complete cleaning of the cooking arena, utensils, and proper storage of food items/ingredients.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of solid experience as a commercial/institutional cook, specifically working in labour camps, construction sites, industrial catering, or corporate staff accommodations.
• Physical Fitness: Must be physically strong and healthy to handle heavy kitchen equipment and long cooking shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Language & Attitude: Fluent in Tamil. A basic understanding of conversational English is a plus. Candidates must possess a good work ethic, discipline, and the ability to work independently without supervision.
