Continuous Improvement Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the automation initiatives within the Manufacturing Excellence department, driving Industry 4.0 implementation and providing technical expertise for automation projects to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Related Activities

Manufacturing Automation

• Conduct comprehensive manufacturing automation assessments
• Develop and execute automation roadmaps
• Design and implement automated manufacturing solutions
• Program and deploy robotics systems
• Optimize existing machinery through automation
• Implement IoT sensors and data acquisition systems
• Develop and integrate PLC/SCADA systems
• Create digital twin solutions for production processes

Project Management

• Manage automation implementation projects
• Coordinate cross-functional teams
• Evaluate and manage automation vendors
• Develop technical specifications for automation projects
• Validate new technologies and automation solutions
• Conduct ROI analysis for automation initiatives

Industry 4.0 Implementation

• Design and implement Industry 4.0 architecture
• Integrate Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Deploy data-driven decision-making tools
• Implement smart factory concepts
• Coordinate with IT for system integration

Training & Development

• Train operators and maintenance staff on automated systems
• Develop technical documentation for automated processes
• Transfer knowledge to production teams
• Support change management related to automation

Specialized and Technical Knowledge's

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
• Technical expertise in automation systems design and integration
• Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA programming and configuration
• Experience with robotics programming and deployment
• Proficiency in IoT sensors and data acquisition systems
• Understanding of digital twin development and implementation
• Industry 4.0 architecture familiarity
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration knowledge
