About this role
The Content Strategist will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing content strategies across digital channels. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working in a digital marketing agency and understand how content supports SEO, social media, branding, lead generation, and overall digital marketing performance.
Roles and Responsibilities : - Develop comprehensive content strategies based on client objectives, target audience, industry, and digital marketing goals.
- Conduct audience, competitor, industry, and content research to identify relevant content opportunities.
- Create content plans, calendars, briefs, and topic clusters for websites and digital platforms.
- Work closely with SEO, social media, design, and digital marketing teams to align content with campaign objectives.
- Develop strategies for website content, blogs, landing pages, social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
- Conduct keyword and search-intent research and incorporate SEO requirements into content planning.
- Plan content around relevant keywords, topics, user intent, and the customer journey.
- Develop content briefs with clear objectives, target audience, keywords, tone, structure, and key messaging.
- Review and optimize existing content for SEO, relevance, readability, engagement, and conversions.
- Ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines and maintains consistency across platforms.
- Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content strategies.
- Stay updated with SEO, AI search, AEO/GEO, social media, content marketing, and digital trends.
- Collaborate with writers and other team members to ensure content quality and timely delivery.
- Handle multiple client accounts and content requirements simultaneously.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a digital marketing agency.
- Strong understanding of content marketing and digital marketing concepts.
- Good knowledge of SEO, keyword research, search intent, and content optimization.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create structured content briefs and content strategies.
- Understanding of website content, blogs, landing pages, and social media content.
- Good understanding of audience personas and customer journeys.
