Assignment: Write a short write up on why and how should culture be preserved

Stipend: 6000 INR per month

Location: Remote

We are looking for someone with a deep-rooted love for art and culture, and the passion to make a difference in the lives of artists and artisans by empowering them with technology.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on Indian art forms, crafts, artists, cultural histories, techniques, and traditions through credible secondary sources and artist interactions when required to write detailed descriptions about traditional art and artists
• Write engaging artwork descriptions, artist profiles, and art form pages that bring out the stories, processes, and cultural significance behind each work while always incorporating SEO best practices.
• Research and create long-form blogs and editorial content around Indian art, craft, heritage, design, and culture.
• Collaborate with artists to document their journeys, techniques, inspirations, and unique perspectives when required.
• Maintain accuracy and authenticity through fact-checking, organized research documentation, and alignment with MeMeraki's storytelling approach.

Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory requirements:

• Prior working knowledge of folk and tribal arts or One paper on folk and tribal arts in graduation/post graduation
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Degree in research/Indian art/ heritage/ culture
• Previous coursework or experience related to research
