Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer with 5+ years of experience specializing in both IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) and Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS). The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end system quality, performance, and seamless data flow across core retail supply chain, merchandising, and order management landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts for IBM Sterling OMS and Oracle RMS (along with modules like ReIM, SIM, RPM, and SIOCS).
• Validate end-to-end data flow and integration points between RMS, OMS, POS, WMS, Finance, and external e-commerce marketplaces.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and document defects, consistency gaps, and risks.
• Troubleshoot system issues and analyze backend data, logs, database records, and middleware traces.
• Drive SIT/UAT planning, coordinate defect triage, and track resolution using tools like JIRA or ALM.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to review requirements and ensure high test coverage.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium or Tosca (preferred).

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of software testing experience within the retail and e-commerce domain.
• Core Systems: Hands-on testing expertise in IBM Sterling OMS and Oracle RMS (or related Oracle Retail suite components).
• Retail Processes: Strong knowledge of retail business workflows including order flow, inventory management, fulfillment, item management, purchase orders, and invoice matching.
• Database & Backend: Proven expertise in writing SQL queries to validate backend database records and data integrity.
• Testing Methodologies: Strong background in manual testing, test planning, defect tracking (JIRA, Bugzilla), and regression testing.
• Integrations & APIs: Good understanding of system integration, API testing tools, and upstream/downstream data flows.
• Good to Have: Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Tosca), Oracle Retail Cloud (SaaS), and agile delivery models.
