Consultant Nephrologist

Role & responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage kidney-related diseases, including CKD, AKI, nephrotic syndrome, and electrolyte disorders.
• Evaluate and treat patients with hypertension and renal complications.
• Manage patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
• Assess and manage pre- and post-renal transplant patients.
• Interpret renal function tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Perform or supervise procedures such as kidney biopsy and dialysis catheter-related care.
• Develop individualized treatment and long-term renal care plans.
• Handle emergency nephrology cases and provide inpatient/outpatient consultations.
• Coordinate with urologists, intensivists, cardiologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• DM/DNB in Nephrology from a recognized institution.
• Valid Medical Council/NMC registration.
• 15+ years of experience in Nephrology preferred.
• Expertise in dialysis, CKD, AKI, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and renal emergencies.
• Experience in managing ICU/critical nephrology cases and renal transplant patients preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Candidates with relevant hospital/clinical experience will be

preferred.Immediate or early joiners preferred
