Consultant - Mainframe

Looking out for a Mainframe Developer.

Required Skills:Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into detailed solution designs.

Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and related technologies.

Create and optimize batch and online programs, jobs, procedures, database queries, and file-processing routines.

Perform unit testing, integration support, defect resolution, code reviews, and implementation validation.

Troubleshoot application failures, production incidents, data issues, and performance problems; complete root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Support release planning, deployment, production verification, and post-implementation activities.

Follow organizational standards for coding, source control, documentation, security, change management, and software development lifecycle processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to estimate work, communicate risks, and deliver commitments on schedule.

Prepare and maintain technical specifications, program documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvement, technical-debt reduction, and modernization.
