Consultant Intensivist

Job Summary

Urgent hiring - Consultant Intensivist. Location: Kolhapur. Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Qualifications

• MD / DNB in General Medicine, Anaesthesiology or an appropriate specialty
• Fellowship / qualification in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM / IFCCM / DrNB Critical Care) preferred
• Valid Medical Council Registration

Experience

• Experienced candidates preferred
• Prior ICU and critical care management experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients admitted to the ICU.
• Assess patient conditions and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Monitor patients requiring ventilatory and haemodynamic support.
• Manage medical emergencies, sepsis, shock and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Perform critical care procedures as per qualification and expertise.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff and other departments.
• Supervise ICU protocols, infection control and patient safety practices.
• Conduct clinical rounds and ensure proper documentation.
• Communicate with patients families regarding clinical progress and treatment plans.

Candidate Profile

• Strong clinical decision-making and critical care skills.
• Experience in ventilator management and emergency stabilization.
• Ability to manage complex ICU cases.
• Good communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Professional, ethical and patient-focused approach.
