Role & responsibilities

A reputed healthcare organization is looking for an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join its medical team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating digestive system disorders, providing comprehensive patient care, and performing relevant diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
• Conduct OPD consultations and manage admitted patients.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy, as per expertise.
• Evaluate and manage patients with conditions such as acidity, ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care to patients.
• Coordinate with surgeons, radiologists, intensivists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, dietary modifications, and preventive care.
• Handle gastroenterological emergencies and provide timely clinical intervention.
