The opportunity: - Discovery - Mumbai
Your key responsibilities Technical Excellence - 1.5-2 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), ITAM, or Software license compliance. Working knowledge of Tier-1 publisher licensing, particularly IBM, Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware and Oracle. Strong understanding of IBM licensing, including ILMT, CVA, PVU/VPC, Full Capacity and Sub-Capacity licensing. Experience in license reconciliation, entitlement vs. deployment analysis, ELP preparation, and compliance assessment. Familiarity with SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, or equivalent platforms. Understanding of virtualization and cloud licensing concepts, including VMware, VMs, clusters and vMotion, as well as cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Ability to interpret license agreements, product use rights, licensing metrics, and publisher-specific licensing rules, with awareness of ongoing licensing changes. Good analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and large-data analysis/reconciliation. Working knowledge of Generative AI tools and prompt engineering, with the ability to develop effective prompts for research, data analysis, licensing assessments, and productivity use cases. Working knowledge of Python and coding concepts, with the ability to automate data cleansing, reconciliation, analysis, and repetitive SAM activities using scripts working knowledge of Power BI, Power Apps, and other data visualization/automation tools for developing SAM dashboards, reports, and workflow solutions. Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
