Consultant Expert - Financial Planning & Analysis

Role & responsibilities

Role Purpose

Serve as a recognized FP&A subject matter expert, driving financial planning excellence, and transformation initiatives across business units or regions. Provide forward-looking insights to senior finance and business leadership, influence strategic decisions, and lead the design and optimization of FP&A processes, reporting frameworks, and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary FP&A advisor to senior finance leaders, providing strategic financial support.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Drive the implementation of AI use case and advance analytics across FP&A process.
• Lead financial assessments for business transformations, restructuring initiatives, investments, and productivity programs.
• Challenge business assumptions and proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting financial performance.
• Drive automation, digitalization, AI-enabled analytics, and reporting transformation initiatives across FP&A processes.
• Lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Global Business Services organizations.
• Establish best practices and standard methodologies across planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management activities.
• Provide technical and functional coaching to FP&A Leads, Senior Analysts, and Analysts.
• Act as a change champion for finance transformation and organizational initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in finance CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance)
• 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Business Finance, Financial Controlling, Corporate Finance, or Finance Transformation.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing strategic business decisions.

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of FP&A practices, financial planning processes, and performance management.
• Strong expertise in financial systems and planning platforms (SAP, Essbase, Oracle, Power BI, etc.). AI prompting and experience on working on AI use case.
• Experience with analytics, automation, visualization, and AI-enabled finance solutions.
• Strong presentation and executive storytelling skills.
