Consultant - Direct Tax - CA

Role Overview:

We are seeking a high-caliber Chartered Accountant to join our Direct Tax practice in Mumbai. In this role, you will serve as a key advisor to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, navigating complex tax landscapes to ensure regulatory compliance and strategic tax efficiency. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional finance teams to deliver high-impact tax solutions, manage tax litigation, and provide advisory support on domestic and international tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end corporate tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, to ensure adherence to statutory deadlines and regulatory standards.

- Provide expert advisory services on complex tax issues, including international taxation and transfer pricing, to assist clients in optimizing their global tax footprint.

- Represent clients before tax authorities during assessments and appellate proceedings to resolve disputes and secure favorable outcomes.

- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to identify planning opportunities that align with the client's broader corporate finance objectives.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client finance teams to streamline tax reporting processes and enhance the accuracy of financial disclosures.

Required Skillset:

- Possess a deep functional understanding of the Income Tax Act, with a proven ability to interpret complex tax laws and apply them to real-world business scenarios.

- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, specifically in managing international taxation frameworks and cross-border transactions.

- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for articulating complex tax positions to senior management and representing clients in professional forums.

- Maintain a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the ICAI, reflecting a high standard of professional competence and technical rigor.

- Show high adaptability to a dynamic, on-site work environment in Mumbai, managing multiple high-priority client engagements with precision and professional integrity.

- Qualified CA May 26
