Consultant - Collaboration Engineer

Position Summary:

Seeking a Consulting level Engineer with technical skills in SharePoint administration, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, .NET, Azure, Windows OS, and large relational databases. This individual will provide oversight for the design, administration, development, modification, and implementation of mid- and long-term solutions to solve our customers most complex business and technical issues, making high-level engineering design choices and recommending solutions that align to our customers strategic plans. Acts as Technical Lead for the administration, configuration, development, customization, and support of SharePoint and related collaboration platforms. Works closely with application and product owners, stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to design and maintain technology solutions that support an efficient, secure, and reliable IT environment. The individual filling this position should have a background and general understanding of revenue cycle processes as they pertain to the healthcare industry. The candidate will be responsible for SharePoint platform administration, governance, security, upgrades, integrations, automation, and also .NET development to support business applications and workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise; interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices; drives innovation; solves complex problems using a broad perspective to identify effective solutions; works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations; leads technical efforts; and is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.
• Technical team guidance
• Administer SharePoint solutions and integrations across on-premises, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments
• Create proofs of concept (POCs) to modernize, migrate, automate, or re-platform current collaboration and business solutions
• Review Microsoft product updates, technical publications, user groups, and other sources to benefit projects, products, teams, and customers
• Spearhead SharePoint capacity, storage, lifecycle, and infrastructure planning, including forecasting and budgeting for planned growth
• Create appropriate visual aids, such as Visio drawings, architecture diagrams, data flows, and support documentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create high-level platform, integration, and software specifications
• Define platform standards, performance tolerances, service expectations, monitoring, and benchmarks
• Stay current on new and emerging Microsoft 365, SharePoint, cloud, automation, and development technologies. Teach applicable innovations to others
• Understand software design patterns, security principles, identity and access management, application lifecycle practices, and unit testing methodologies
• Represent the team in Change Review Board and Architectural Review Committee meetings
• Research, Analyze, Design and POC
• Consult across all aspects of SharePoint platform administration and application development, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, .NET, Azure, SQL Server, and supporting infrastructure.
• Consult in or develop process designs for integrating SharePoint and Microsoft 365 capabilities with existing business systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, business analysts, project leads, management, and stakeholders on platform designs, migrations, integrations, and service delivery
• Understand the Companys business drivers, regulatory concerns, data protection requirements, and opportunities
• Demonstrate interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, customer service, and negotiation
• Maintain strong knowledge of IT governance, change management, platform operations, and support processes
• Maintain extensive knowledge of SharePoint architecture, Microsoft 365 services, Windows/server infrastructure, networking, databases, application integration, and systems engineering

Education & Experience:

• 7+ years of designing, administering, supporting, or enhancing SharePoint solutions, with working knowledge of .NET/C# and SQL Server
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Must Have Skills

• Ability to drive timely and innovative solutions and guide technical teams in resolving complex platform and application problems.
• Experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies, source control, Continuous Integration, and software testing practices
• Strong SharePoint administration experience including site collections, permissions, governance, content management, search, monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, and support
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, PowerShell/PnP PowerShell, Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Experience developing or supporting light .NET solutions such as utilities, APIs, scheduled processes, integrations, and custom business application components
• Understanding of Azure, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform/Power Automate, identity and access management, and integration with enterprise applications
• Azure DevOps (ADO) experience
