Consultant Buyer (6 Months Contract) | Chennai

A leading global organization is looking for an experienced Consultant Buyer to support procurement operations, purchase order management, supplier coordination, and procurement process compliance. The role requires strong experience in SAP procurement processes, PO creation, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage non-catalog Purchase Orders (POs) using SAP and other procurement systems.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procurement policies and buying requirements.
• Process procurement requests accurately within defined SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve PO and procurement-related issues.
• Modify, cancel, and close Purchase Orders as required.
• Support Accounts Payable teams in invoice resolution and exception handling.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Monitor open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery schedules.
• Support testing and validation of system enhancements and process improvements.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in Buying, Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain functions.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Procurement or SAP MM modules.
• Knowledge of Purchase Order processing, Vendor Management, and Procurement Operations.
• Understanding of vendor master data, source lists, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
