Consultant and Ophthalmologist

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients.
• Conduct detailed ophthalmic examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the candidate's area of expertise.
• Manage both routine and complex ophthalmic cases.
• Build and develop a strong referral and patient base in Raipur and the wider Chhattisgarh region.
• Work collaboratively with other clinical specialties for multidisciplinary patient care.
• Maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient safety and ethical medical practice.
• Participate in clinical discussions, CME programmes and departmental academic initiatives.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Ophthalmology department.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• MD/MS/DNB/DOMS in Ophthalmology from a recognised institution.
• Candidates with 5+ years of post-qualification experience will be preferred; experienced Consultants/Senior Consultants are encouraged to apply.
• Strong clinical expertise with exposure to ophthalmic procedures/surgeries.
• Candidates with an established patient base or referral network in Raipur/Chhattisgarh would be highly preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal and counselling skills.
• Strong commitment to patient-centric care and clinical excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a tertiary-care hospital environment.
