Construction Billing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit client RA bills as per project progress.
• Verify subcontractor/vendor bills and process certifications.
• Review BOQ, work orders, variation statements, and extra item claims.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams for billing inputs.
• Track project quantities and reconcile executed work with billing.
• Maintain billing records, payment tracking, and invoice documentation.
• Prepare cost reports, billing status reports, and recovery statements.
• Ensure timely certification and follow-up for client payments.
• Handle variation orders, escalation claims, and final bill settlements.
• Support tendering and estimation teams with quantity and rate analysis when required.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and commercial project requirements.
• Coordinate with the accounts department for GST invoices and payment reconciliation.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Experience in client billing and subcontractor billing.
• Understanding of BOQ, estimation, quantity surveying, and rate analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP/billing software.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Additional certification in billing/contracts/project management is preferred.
• Experience in corporate office interiors, retail fit-outs, hospitality, or turnkey commercial projects.
• Familiarity with contracts, tender documentation, and project costing.
